Browne’s Recognised for Outstanding H&S Performance at FRA31
Browne’s Scaffolding Ltd is proud to announce that our team at the Mercury FRA31 datacentre project in Germany has been awarded Mercury’s “Safety Subcontractor of the Month” award for Outstanding Contribution to Project HSE Performance.
The recognition comes at the closing stages of the project and is particularly meaningful given the scale and intensity of the site, where more than 15 subcontractors have been working alongside one another throughout the build. To finish top of such a competitive field is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the standards our team continues to set across Europe.
Leading the Browne’s team on site is Supervisor Chris Quinn, who joined the company just six months ago and has already made a huge impact. Chris and his team embraced Mercury’s “Work Safe, Home Safe” culture from day one and consistently demonstrated the kind of proactive attitude that goes above and beyond what is simply expected on site.
One of the key initiatives recognised by Mercury was Chris’ proposal and implementation of multilingual scaffolding health and safety signage across the project. With operatives from a wide range of nationalities working on site, the initiative helped ensure safety information and potential risks could be clearly understood by everyone regardless of language barriers. A simple idea in principle, but one that showed genuine care for the workforce and a practical understanding of how strong communication improves safety outcomes.
Chris was also the only subcontractor to attain the coveted Amazon yellow badge that takes over a six-weeks to achieve. The professionalism shown by Chris and the Browne’s team throughout the project has been exceptional. From maintaining high housekeeping standards and positive engagement with other trades, through to consistent safety performance and site leadership, the team has represented Browne’s exactly as we would hope.
Managing Director David Browne commented:
“Chris has been outstanding. To come into the business and make this level of impact within six months says a huge amount about his attitude and professionalism. We’re incredibly proud of him and the whole FRA31 team. Awards like this are never won by accident. They come from consistent effort, care for others and a willingness to lead by example.”
As Browne’s Gerüstbau GmbH continues to grow across Europe, achievements like this reinforce the company’s commitment to delivering not only technically strong scaffolding solutions, but safe, collaborative and professional working environments on every project.
Congratulations Chris and the FRA31 team. Fully deserved!
