Retail Store, Folkestone
Refurbishment Project
Browne’s Scaffolding was appointed to provide full façade access for the repair, refurbishment and repurposing of the Old Bank premises in the centre of Folkestone. The structure was encapsulated with Shrinkwrap sheeting to protect the public and nearby areas from dust and debris, allowing works to progress safely in all weather conditions. Our team ensured the scaffold was both stable and neat, allowing other trades access to develop the building into the new store selling the UK’s favourite sausage rolls.
Curved Access Scaffold
Residential Development
This bespoke curved access scaffold was built to follow the site boundary wall of a new residential housing complex. The scaffold was constructed progressively alongside the rising brickwork, providing continuous, safe access to both sides of the wall, which was fair-faced on each elevation. The precision and adaptability of this design demonstrated Browne’s ability to deliver creative access solutions in challenging spaces.
Science Museum, London
Roof Access and High-Level Works
Working with one of the UK’s most prestigious clients, Browne’s Scaffolding was proud to support essential remedial works at the Science Museum in London. Our team designed and installed a Layer system access staircase providing safe, reliable entry to the roof level for multiple trades.
To facilitate work at height, we also constructed a ramped scaffold platform across the roof, ensuring smooth and secure access to elevated areas. Where ground-up scaffolding wasn’t possible, hanging scaffolds were suspended from the roof structure allowing critical maintenance to be carried out safely without impacting the museum’s operations or public spaces below.
