We take pride in delivering practical, high-quality solutions that directly benefit the communities we work in and our 2025 refurbishment of the public toilet facilities at one of Kent’s (& the UK’s) most beautiful beaches is a prime example.
For years, visitors and residents had expressed serious concerns over the poor condition of Botany Bay’s beachfront washrooms. Overflowing waste, poor hygiene, and frequent closures were not only unpleasant, but they also posed a potential environmental and health risk to the surrounding area and nearby coastline.
Thanks to the collaborative efforts of Southern Water and Thanet District Council, a funding package was secured, and a green light given to Browne’s Construction to make lasting improvements and carry out a full renovation.
Over a focused six-week programme, our team completely transformed the outdated and unhygienic facilities into a clean, modern, and durable public amenity. Works included full strip-out, structural improvements, upgraded plumbing and ventilation, and the installation of robust, vandal-resistant fixtures designed to withstand heavy use during the busy summer season.
We’re proud to have played a part in improving a much-loved location for both residents and tourists and to have done so with the same attention to detail and care we bring to every job, large or small.
