Remedial Works
Browne’s Scaffolding was appointed to design and erect access scaffolding for a single residential property, allowing safe access to the exterior façade for decoration and remedial works. The scaffold was configured to maintain clear pedestrian access along the footpath throughout, demonstrating our focus on safety and minimal disruption to homeowners and the public alike.

Maintenance and Roof Access
For this project, Browne’s erected a front elevation scaffold to provide safe access for the upkeep of windows at all levels, the redecoration of rendering and roof access for remedial works. The structure was designed to give trades secure and stable working platforms, ensuring the project could progress efficiently and in total compliance with safety regulations.
Kitchener Barracks, Chatham
Full refurbishment
Browne’s was appointed to design, supply, erect and dismantle a comprehensive independent access scaffold system to support ongoing full refurbishment building works at Block D of Kitchener Barracks.
The structure encompassed all four elevations of the building, extending approximately 270m in length and reaching five lifts high at 2 metres per lift. The system included two loading bays and five staircase towers, providing safe and efficient access for all trades throughout the 26-week programme.
Constructed using tube and fitting scaffolding, the installation incorporated physically tied anchor points tested in accordance with the design specification and TG20:13 compliance. Each working platform featured full double guardrails, toe boards, and brick guards, with treble handrails installed at the uppermost lift for additional safety.
This project demonstrated Browne’s ability to deliver large-scale, technically precise scaffolding solutions in full compliance with the latest working-at-height regulations, ensuring a secure and efficient working environment for all site personnel.
What our clients say
"Browne’s were the one part of our two-storey extension that never caused us any stress. With delays from other trades and a build that felt like it was going wrong at every turn, their team were incredibly understanding and flexible. They adjusted dates, worked around the chaos and kept everything safe and secure. They genuinely made a nightmare project so much easier. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them."
