Events Scaffolding

From international sporting events to major public celebrations, Browne’s has built a reputation for delivering safe, precise, and visually seamless temporary structures across some of the UK and Europe’s most high-profile environments.

Delivering World-Class Scaffolding for Global Events

Our specialist Events Division supports organisers, broadcasters, and contractors with everything from grandstands and hospitality enclosures to camera towers, ramps, and access platforms. Every structure we deliver is designed with equal focus on safety, speed, and presentation, combining engineering excellence with an understanding of the unique pressures of live event delivery.

Browne’s provides design-led scaffolding solutions that meet tight deadlines, complex logistics, and uncompromising safety standards. Whether supporting elite sport, live broadcast, or major festivals, our ability to Collaborate, Care, and Deliver ensures that every project stands tall even under the brightest spotlight.

The events industry is also evolving, with growing recognition that traditional scaffolding qualifications don’t meet the specialist demands of temporary demountable structures. ESITS (Events Scaffolding and Temporary Structures) has been developed to address this need, offering structured training from the General Events Crew Operative (GECO) course through to the TDS Master qualification.

Our Managing Director, David Browne, sits on the ESITS Board of Governors, reflecting our commitment to raising industry standards, promoting safety, and developing future talent.

22nd Commonwealth Games

Birmingham 2022

Browne’s Scaffolding partnered with GL Events to deliver multiple temporary structures across the West Midlands for the 22nd Commonwealth Games. Our work included athlete platforms, cycling gantries and public access infrastructure, all built under strict timeframes and live broadcast conditions. The most technically demanding installation, the “Bellodrome” in Birmingham’s city centre, showcased our expertise in complex, levelled platform design. The project was completed safely, on schedule and without incident. A proud moment for the Browne’s team and a testament to our capacity for world-class event delivery.

Royal Ascot

Hospitality Enclosures

For one of Britain’s most prestigious events, Browne’s Scaffolding was entrusted to construct temporary hospitality enclosures at Royal Ascot. Working to exacting client specifications, our team provided elegant yet robust structures that blended seamlessly with the event’s luxury setting. Each enclosure’s footings were engineered for ease of access, safety and visual presentation, ensuring a flawless experience for the distinguished guests while maintaining the highest standards of site safety and operational efficiency.

London Cycling Festival

Route Infrastructure

As part of the London Cycling Festival, Browne’s supplied route infrastructure and a bespoke branded ramp system to cover the stairway at Coal Drops Yard, King’s Cross. The structure formed part of the course itself, doubling as the starting gate and initial sprint section for competing cyclists. Designed to be both load-bearing and visually striking, the ramp delivered the perfect combination of function, safety, and event branding, capturing the excitement of urban cycling at its best.

St Andrews Collegiate

Golf Tournament

At the annual St Andrews Collegiate — a three-day competition featuring top university teams from St Andrews, Princeton, Berkeley and Michigan State, Browne’s Scaffolding provided TV towers for national coverage broadcast by Sky Sports. Operating in the historic surroundings of the “Home of Golf,” our team delivered precision-built, camera-ready structures that met both the broadcaster’s technical requirements and the event’s strict safety and aesthetic standards.
