Browne’s Apprenticeship Scheme
Start Strong
Whether you’re fresh out of school, considering a career change or simply eager to learn a hands-on trade with a real future, our apprenticeship scheme offers a solid foundation in one of the UK’s most vital industries. At Browne’s, we invest in the next generation through our dedicated apprenticeship programme. Plus, our 2-year scheme results in an NVQ Level 2 in Scaffolding.
Why Browne’s?
We’ve been scaffolding specialists for nearly 20 years. From residential homes and commercial sites to high-profile event venues and data centres across Europe, Browne’s Scaffolding has grown through trust, craftsmanship, integrity and community. And yet whilst we’ve grown, we’ve never lost that family-run feel.
Our apprentices don’t just learn how to erect scaffolding. They learn how to be part of a team, take pride in their work and grow into confident, qualified professionals. With supportive mentors, safety-focused training, and plenty of on-the-job experience we help you build a career with real potential.

What You’ll Learn
Over the course of the apprenticeship, you’ll be trained in all aspects of the scaffolding trade, including:
- Understanding scaffolding structures and safety regulations
- Erecting, adapting, and dismantling scaffolds safely and efficiently
- Working in a wide range of environments: including industrial, confined spaces, and events
- Health and safety best practices, including tool tethering and site awareness
- Sustainable practices and materials in modern scaffolding
- Teamwork, problem-solving, and customer service
You’ll split your time between classroom-based training (through our accredited training partners) and live projects on-site, working alongside experienced scaffolders across a variety of sectors.

Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. No experience is required. If you’ve got a good attitude, a strong work ethic and you’re not afraid of heights, you’ll fit right in.
You’ll need:
- To be 18+ (or turning 18 during the scheme)
- To enjoy working outdoors and being part of a physical, team-oriented trade
- To be reliable, punctual, and ready to learn
We’re especially proud to support local talent, and many of our apprentices come from communities we’ve worked in for years.

A Career, Not Just a Job
Some of our best scaffolders and even supervisors started with us as apprentices. We don’t just teach the trade; we offer long-term opportunities. You’ll be part of a company that values loyalty, hard work, and continuous development. And when you’re ready to take the next step, we’ll be right there to support you.
