The global datacentre market is a large and growing industry projected to reach $652 Billion by 2030. This growth is driven by our increasing demand for cloud computing, big data, AI, digital streaming and the rise of hyperscalers.

Browne’s started to help build the infrastructure that now runs our lives over 5 years ago and today we have a presence on over 10, €500M+ mega projects across Europe. This rapid growth has seen us establish our separate German entity, Browne’s Gerüstbau GmbH.

Each project looks for Browne’s support and access solutions to help build or maintain these massive structures. Inside the buildings you will find rows of server racks, holding multiple servers, connected through a network of routers and switches, allowing data to flow between them and the outside world.

Datacentres also always require a significant power supply with backup generator units on standby. Intricate cooling systems ensure efficiency and heightened security measures, a safe operation. In both the UK and Europe, datacentres are classified as Critical National Infrastructure

Browne’s was brought on board by the main contractor at the PAR13 site in Paris at its inception. We have erected countless ladder towers, access gantries, ramped platforms, staircases and containment bridges over the last 2 years. Working carefully in and around other multiple trades, we have fitted suspended workstations in the most inaccessible areas allowing complex mechanical and electrical tasks to be completed in total safely.

Always vigilant we have won numerous awards for our positive attitude to a healthy working environment and regularly top the 3rd party supplier H&S League. Our 3-step approach to every project has been essential. On a project of this size, with these many workers, the need to be flexible is paramount. We collaborate and innovate with our clients daily, reacting to the ever-changing needs of a dynamic build. We care about our work and the men’s health and wellbeing with regular scaffolding and safety inspections. even translating our signage into the multiple languages spoken on site.
